Pickle Makin' Time!

I've never canned before, so this was a fun learning experience. We had a mountain of cucumbers from three plants that we thought were going to die . . . nature's funny that way. All in all, we got 4 1/2 quarts. Yay!

Oh, and the onions are from our garden too. :-)

Updated Garden Pics

Kenny's put in a lot of work with our little garden. Last week he weeded and straw mulched the whole thing, and it looks really good. We're having fun with it!

Lots of tomatoes are coming in.

We have so many pepper plants . . .

Overdue Update

I'm back! Yes, I know I've been gone for a couple months now. Call it soul-searching, getting used to being a Mom, whatever. Since I'm way behind on updating, I'll do a few short posts.

Our garden is coming along nicely! Our tomatoes (Romas) are getting huge and everything else is growing well. We've got peas that are almost ready to harvest, cherry tomatoes, several varieties of peppers, onions, and spinach.
The pic is me planting tomatoes a several long weeks ago. Tomorrow I'll take new pics so you can see how big they are now!
On a different note, I've been going through my own transition period, some of which I'll keep personal and some which I'll post over the next few days while I get back in the hang of blogging.
Till tomorrow,
Bri

Container Garden Update

Lots of little pepper and tomatoes

All we have so far

New seedlings

Lettuce

We started out not having enough pots so we had to cram them in too close together. We've learned that transplanting isn't really feasible so it's best to put them in the container you intend to keep them in and with the proper spacing.
That's it for now!
